Nuestro Padre Celestial nos ha dado un modelo sencillo para recibir el Espíritu Santo, no una sola vez sino continuamente en medio del tumulto de la vida diaria, modelo que se repite en la oración sacramental: Prometemos que siempre recordaremos al Salvador, que tomaremos Su nombre sobre nosotros y que guardaremos Sus mandamientos, y se nos promete que si hacemos esto, Su Espíritu estará con nosotros⁶. Esas promesas surten su efecto de manera conjunta y maravillosa para fortalecer nuestro testimonio y, por medio de la Expiación y al cumplir con nuestra parte de la promesa, cambiar nuestra naturaleza con el pasar del tiempo.
